Eng1102:  Engineering Modeling and Design

Welcome to Norma Veurink's Eng1102  Web Site. This page links you to information you will need during the course.  Most of these links are to viewable Adobe Acrobat files. You can download a free copy if you do not already have one installed.

You will notice that most of these files cannot be printed. This is due to the fact that this site represents about 1,200 pages of material - - with the number of students taking this class, the printing demands would swamp our labs. Most of the information in the lesson slides can be found in the texts or Lab Manual for the course.

Design Project

The Design Project is the "Cornerstone" of  ENG1102.  The modeling and programming skills that you learn throughout the semester will be practiced as your team develops a design concept to solve a real world problem. There will also be individual assignments, but most students find that the design projects are the most challenging and rewarding part of the course.   Regardless of your choice of engineering major, the basic design process and deliverables are typical of what is expected when you are working as engineering professionals.
